New Forged Ring Construction

The New SIM 2 Forged Ring Construction provides users with new levels of distance and forgiveness. Forged out of high strength and lightweight aluminium it combines a rear weight, full carbon sole, crown and their new milled back cup face. This driver has been designed to improve stability and forgiveness to help players hit more fairways with increased confidence.

SIM Inertia Generator

The asymmetric Inertia Generator is designed to provide faster club head speed through advanced geometry and aerodynamic analytics. A full lightweight carbon sole enables the redistribution of mass for a deeper CG and enhanced forgiveness

Speed Injected™ Twist Face™

Increases in ball speed are found by calibrating each head to the threshold of the legal speed limit with corrective face curvature also protecting against heel and toe mis-hits

Spilt Mass Weighting

Designed to enhance forgiveness while allowing for pinpoint target swing weights during custom assembly.

Thru-Slot Speed Pocket

The flexible Speed Pocket produces forgiveness on strikes that are slightly lower on the face and has been designed to maximize ball speeds.

SIM 2 DRIVER

Most drivers designs have to prioritise one feature over another, but Taylormade have sort to discover power, speed and forgiveness from their low spin model driver. The SIM2 provides golfers with a high MOI from a heavy 16g steel weight positioned on the inertia generator. This helps to encourage optimal launch conditions with low spin and forgiveness.

SIM 2 MAX DRIVER

The SIM 2 MAX Driver is all about speed and forgiveness. This is delivered by it’s high MOI and heavy 24g tungsten weight position on the Inertia Generator. To optimize mid to high launch and mid to low spin rates, they have also positioned the TPS front weight on the sole of the club.

SIM 2 MAX D DRIVER

Draw bias drivers can assist in reducing a golfer’s slice but can come at the expense of forgiveness. Taylormade has reconstructed their driver head by shifting the asymmetric Inertia Generator closer to the heel, for which they were able to maintain forgiveness while enhancing draw-bias. With the SIM 2 MAX D Driver, you’ll have a draw biased driver without any compromise.

“These three drivers enable us to deliver vastly different performance for a variety of players. We know there are a lot of different golfers out there. People will need less spin. People who need more spin. People who hit it straight and people who need draw bias. So, we're delivering across the board with SIM2, SIM2 Max and SIM2 Max•D – separating them in terms of launch and spin. The unifying feature among all three is forgiveness – we’ve increased MOI throughout the entire SIM2 family.”
